1 Day Precision Hunter Course Curriculum

Instructor cadre are prior military SOF, and Law enforcement professionals with over 48 combined years of experience and lifelong hunters.

2 Hour classroom didactics followed by 5 hours of range personal instruction with a 2:1 student-instructor ratio.

Equipment set up and optimization, rifle cleaning techniques for maximum accuracy potential.

Long distance shooting fundamentals, building shooting positions in the field environment for stability and accuracy using Bipods, Tripods, and Shooting sticks.

Understanding scope theory, MOA, Mils, Ballistic data, and programs for long-distance shooting solutions.
-
Wind compensation and environmental considerations for distant engagements.
-
Positional shooting including Prone, Kneeling, and Offhand.
-
Equipment instruction covering Bipods, Rangefinders, Binoculars, Shooting bags, etc.
-
Coordination assistance for African plains game safaris.
What to Expect

Engagements in a field environment across three different ranges and conditions, from 50 yards to 600 yards (Ethical hunting distances)
-
Start time 0830 at Turkey Ridge lodge, usually finishes NLT 4 PM.

Coffee and pastries provided

Lunch and water provided; however, feel free to bring drinks and snacks as needed.

Once the course wraps at the end of the day, the range is available for 1 hour to shoot from 100-600 yards.
What to Bring

Rifle capable of 1-inch 5-shot groups consistently at 100 yards. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR RIFLE IS ZEROED AND READY TO TRAIN. If you need assistance with this, please call 864-992-0211 before your scheduled course.

Minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition

Scope capable of dialing elevation and parallax adjustment for long-range engagements.

Hearing protection.

Suppressors are preferred. No muzzle brakes allowed.

Rangefinder, binoculars, and spotting scope will be provided if you do not have your own.

Rifles can be rented for $150.00, and match ammunition can be purchased for $250.00 if needed.
